SpaceX, the IPO, and the Future I Grew Up Watching

I have followed SpaceX since I was nine years old. I have watched every launch I could, not in person — not yet — but with the same awe every time that countdown hit zero and fire came out of the engines. For me, SpaceX has never been just another company. It has been proof that the future is not something we wait for. It is something we are building.

SpaceX is one of the reasons I chose the path I am on. Watching that company turn impossible engineering into working hardware inspired me to pursue a career in manufacturing and to continue toward my engineering degree. It showed me that civilization is not built by spectators. It is built by machinists, operators, welders, technicians, engineers, designers, builders, and people willing to solve hard problems with their hands and their minds. SpaceX made manufacturing feel heroic to me. It made engineering feel like a duty and true calling, not just a career.

The SpaceX IPO is more than a financial event. It is a civilizational moment. It marks the point where one of the most ambitious engineering companies in history steps fully into the public square, not as a dream, not as a theory, but as a force that has already changed what mankind believes is possible.

I have watched SpaceX go from impossible to inevitable. I watched rockets land themselves when people said it could not be done. I watched launches become routine without ever becoming ordinary. I watched astronauts fly from American soil again. I watched the dream of Mars move from science fiction into engineering schedules, test flights, launch towers, and steel.

Nothing in my lifetime compares to what SpaceX has achieved. Very few things in history ever will. This company did not simply improve the space industry. It broke open the ceiling of human ambition. It made the sky feel smaller and the future feel closer.

I am excited for the IPO, but I am even more excited for what comes after it. The real story is not the stock price. The real story is Starship, Mars, orbital infrastructure, deep-space logistics, global connectivity, and the possibility that this generation may witness the beginning of a true spacefaring civilization.

I have followed SpaceX since I was a kid. I intend to follow it for the rest of my life. And one day, I will not just watch a launch through a screen. I will see it in person, feel the ground shake, and know that I witnessed one of the greatest human projects ever attempted.

SpaceX is not just going public. SpaceX is carrying Humanity to the future.
