Why this matters to an Adirondack Park county.
Herkimer County is one of the twelve counties with land inside the Adirondack Park. The campaign is asking Park counties to treat the UCI dispute as a broader question of regulatory predictability, county oversight, and how APA processes affect future housing, forestry, manufacturing, infrastructure, tourism, and other local projects.
The prepared letter asks this board to support UCI's effort to obtain approval under reasonable, technically defensible conditions and to support coordinated review of the APA process through the Adirondack Park Local Government Review Board.
